Welcome to the team Louron!! Our Daughter and son-in-law live in Germantown, MD, about 30 miles north of DC. It's a nice area! Our Son-in-law is in Med school at Bethesda. They have blessed us with our 1st grand-son last Feb!! He is so precious, and a big motivator to live a healthy life style!!!
I'm so mad that I FORGOT to put my pedometer on yesterday! RRRRRR!!! I went to Cranberry Fest with my girlfriends and we must've walked 20 miles! plus I was carrying all the stuff I bought at all the venders, n it was quite heavy. The walking certainly wasn't fast but seemed like millions a steps! my hands n feet are sore today but it was fun! Enjoy this team n SP!!!

Its nice having another pedometer totting friend along for the walk.
I live in Jacksonville, NC and am an avid walker and mom of a 10 year old.
If you are new to SparkPeople get to know the site and don't be afraid to ask questions. I recommend you track everything- food, water, steps, and any added fitness you've decided to incorporate into your healthy lifestyle. Start with small changes/habits and work on consistency.

I live in Lorton, Virginia and have decided to use a pedometer again as I know it does help with what I call this journey to good health. I am a retired special education teacher who lives about 30 minutes-depending on traffic south of DC I have a daughter who has one daughter and with the help of God will have a boy in December I also have a step daughter who has 2 lovely little girls. I look forward to meeting many of you soon
