Thanks for all the encouraging messages. I walked 20 minutes this morning and my WII pedometer was green indicating I had walked 2000 steps. I'm still wearing it so I've surpassed my expected goal. Who knows, today may have been just what I needed to get me going again and I'll increase my steps once again.
Accountability helps me alot. I've been amazed how many calories are in my Latte, guess I'll have to cut back and then out. (Or maybe as a reward once in a while).
I felt better all day just knowing I started my day on the right foot. (HEE HEE) One step at a time. or two to keep me grounded.
Thanks again for all your support. Catherine

Welcome to the team. Just stay motivated and listen to your body, if it is is pain do not force it, but if it feels good just keep going and soon you will reach your goals

Don't just wear the pedometer when exercising! Wear it all day, you may be surprised what you are actually stepping! Good luck, you can do this!
You can only take one step at a time, it is best that the step is forward, not back. But even a backward step is exercise! LOL

MY NEW saying: (borrowed from Delila)
"If you want to do something, you'll find a way, if you don't, you'll find an excuse."
Hello everyone. I need to loose 75 lbs. I have high cholesterol, high BP, Hypothyroid, and chemical depression. I'm on meds for all the above.
In addition I have back troubles and I'm caught in a catch 22 I need to exercise but I have to be careful of my back.
I was up to 8000 steps a day (pushing myself to achieve them) when my lower back went out and my muscles in my glutes were tight and wouldn't let my back go back into place so my chiropracter had me stop walking for a while to relax the muscle so he could get the disc to pop back into place. My back is good now, but I'm out of the habit of walking. It's always harder to start something than it is to stick with it. I use the WII Walking pedimeter and Leslie Sansone Walk Away the Pounds DVD's. I have WII Fitness Programs that I haven't even opened yet and I just need motivation to get back on track. That's why I chose your 10,000 step Group.
I'm going on a cruise to Alaska in June and I'd like to loose this weight so I can fit into my Size 14 clothes and not huff and puff and drag myself about.
I bought the Spark Book and have began surfing the Spark pages.
Today I will put on my WII pedimeter and walk with Leslie, you are my witnesses.
Thanks in advace for your support. Catherine
