I have to agree with the others. We can all strive to improve over time. Economic restrains are sure to limit us. I'd love to install solar and a turbine - but it isn't cheap! Even with government grants, it's only like saving the taxes. The sad thing is that "green" has become a money grab for producers. They know consumers will pay more for the products. I try to be careful about what I buy, and buy green when I can. Toilet paper & paper towel are 2 items in particular. My grocers charge much more for these products and they are not packaged as well as I would like. I now buy my regular brands of TP & PT but I buy double rolls so there is less packaging.
I think there are so many little things we can do too. Once a week I take my son and we pick up garbage on the side of our road. I want him to know it's not ok to litter and that we can do something good by helping to clean up Mother Earth.

I think Hihi is right. WE do a bit at time and learn a lot with other people experiences. personally my main objective is to be as green as possible without making it an impossible task. I aim to have a pretty regular life, as everybody else, but trying to use less resources and produce less trash during the process.

We all do our part, and little by little is the best way to go, just like weight loss! If you aim to lose 150 pounds all at once, you are likely to give up. But if you set mini-goals of 10 pounds, you will be encouraged by every mark met!
We slowly pick up tricks and hints, and incorporate what we can into our routine. With time, those become habits, and we can look for the next new addition.
If you *think* you can do something, or that you cannot, either way, *you are right*

I'm as green as I can be too but sometimes buying green products can be costly and making my own...well I have 2 kids...I'm lucky to get exercise in and keep my house tidy. The way I look at it is, I am greener than I was a year ago and try to pick up tips and make improvements here and there each day.
The time has come to take care of myself and that is why I am primarily here, but I love being part of this group so I can pick up some pointers while getting the support I need to succeed!

...which isn't green enough! I have been trying to live a green life, but I have to balance my greens--economics hurts! So while I'm shooting for personal health, I may as well combine it with the world's health--right?
