As far as the tp goes, my daughter took many of my old stained sweatshirts & cut them up into small squares & surged the edges - works perfectly! My husband thinks I am crazy, so I have tp for him & guests. My daughter also made my mama pads. They are AWESOME!
We have very little trash, so I don't need bags. At the end of the week, we only have about a small bag full of trash anyway, so I just don't use one.
I would have to say it was my daughter that got me started - she has cloth diapered my grandson since the day he was born (also makes all his diapers).
Good morning! I am new to this team but definitely not new to going green (or to SP). You can read my life as a fat person on my SparkPage if you want.
I use a Sigg water bottle. I recycle EVERYTHING. I've changed all our light bulbs. I use cloth bags. I use natural soaps, shampoos, deodorant & toothpaste. I always wash on cold. I hang all clothes to dry (all year). I use mama pads. I use cloth toilet paper. I buy organic & local when available. I avoid aerosols. I use cloth napkins instead of paper towels. I re-use bath towels - hang them to dry. I don't use trash bags.
I can't think of anything else right now, but I'm sure I will. I look forward to becoming a part of this team & getting to know all of you!
