Nicole --
My "stalls" occur pretty regularly. One or two weeks, out of almost every month. But, in spite of those, I still have tended to lose between 4-6 pounds a month. I just seem to make up, during the subsequent weeks, what I didn't lose during my stall.
I also tend to gain following most of my Up Days, but, then drop again, during my Down Days and Medium Days.
Although I'm somewhat addicted to the scale (lol -- I weight myself daily), I don't stress over daily, or even weekly, changes. Rather, weighing daily helps me to notice my weight loss patterns, and look at my successes over a month. If I worried about daily or weekly changes, I likely would've quit "dieting"/calorie cycling a long time time ago.
Your weight loss, over the past four weeks, seems to be a lot like mine. I generally lose between 4-6 pounds per month. The past two months, now that I am closer to "goal", I'm losing a little bit more slowly: 3-4 pounds a month.
Again -- I'm so glad that you were able to break your plateau! It is so frustrating when we can't lose weight, even when we seem to be doing everything "right".

Faith, Thank you for sharing about the "stall" because one week I didn't have any change. But, over the course of four weeks I have lost a total of 4.8 pounds. So an average of one a week! This past week being the greatest lost.
I leave for Jamaica tomorrow and I know that I will probably not lose next week, but I am not too worried as long as I am back on track when I return. Super positive about this!

Glad to hear things are going well, "Ned". Calorie cycling has become a way of life for me. I'm almost at goal. (I don't really have a weight goal, anymore, but, I'd still like to whittle down my waist size and my body fat percentage a little bit. I originally wanted to get down to 130 pounds, and, I'm past that. Just reduced my WeightTicker, so I'd have somewhere to keep going.)
But, I expect that I'll continue to calorie cycle, even when I'm ready for weight maintenance.
Since I began calorie cycling in November, I find that it is common for me to have regular 1-2 week "stalls" in my weight loss, but no "real" plateaus that last a month or more. I wonder if the "changing it up" that tends to occur on a regular basis when I calorie cycle keeps those "real" plateaus from occurring.
Best wishes in the future for your weight loss journey! :-)

Thank you for the welcome. I realize a huge part of the weight loss journey is completely mental, and I have been really bummed out because I haven't seen any movement on the scale. I do feel better, and more sculpted. Not seeing a huge change in size of clothes, but definitely in toning. I have been way too negative with myself, and in fact am really worried about weighing in on Friday after doing CC for a week and finding out that I haven't lost weight.
I am hoping by reaching out and chatting with people on SP, that I can try to stay POSITIVE!!!

Good morning and welcome! I read the other thread and it looks like your calorie cycling is going well! :) Another thing to remember is that if your starting to lift it could stall the scale, but shrink your size! I was a size 6 at 120#'s before kids and exercise. Now I'm a size 2 at 120#'s, with lifting weights and more definition to my muscles.
Congratulations on the 5k!

My name is Nicole, I am a mom of two very active boys (4 yo, & 2 yo). I work as a part time teacher, and since I am home this summer I have been trying to get my lifestyle back on plan for my fitness and nutrition goals.
Goal #1: Get back down to high school weight
I was a successful weight watchers participant, getting back down to my high school weight before my second kiddo. I joined SP to keep me accountable for calories (still getting away from points!) and to lose the last 10 pounds. I don't have time for the weight watchers meetings AND they changed the program AGAIN!
Goal #2: Become fitter
I was the girl who did everything she could to miss gym class. I bought an elliptical last year, and have stay consistent with working out 3x a week for 30 minutes, however, this summer I am extra motivated because I am heading to JAMAICA for my 10 year wedding anniversary. By joining the YMCA I started a body sculpting class and realized I like lifting weights too.
I also signed up and completed a 5K!
Goal #3: Maintain Nutrition and Fitness Goals for life
I am grateful for this team, I really do need some advice and support for this plateau I am experiencing!
Nice to meet all of you!
