Hi everyone, I am new to the team, thank you Pam for the nice invite. My name is Debbie and I am happily married (16 yrs. on monday) and we have a beautiful and talented teenage daughter Kayleigh. I have been disabled along with my hubby since 2004. Not the life I chose but I have learned to adjust and make good use of the time I have. I love to read, sew, cook, crochet, loom knit, and walking is by far my favorite form of exercise.
I begun a month ago making dishcloths, dishtowels and from leftover scraps of yarn I make coasters., all from 100% cotton yarn. A dear friend of mine gave me the idea when we were talking one day and I was telling her I needed to start replacing my old store bought ones. She simply said, "you crochet, why don't you make them". OMG.....and so that is how it all began.
As I have worked to replace mine, I am now making sets for Christmas Gifts this year. What I like is how well they wash, don't sour and are so absorbent. I absolutely love them, and I think they make wonderful and practical gifts. So I am so delighted to be a part of this group and I am looking forward to making new friends and getting to know you. Thanks for having me.

& You Are Worth It!!
glad to have you join the team.I also do both knitting and crocheting but find that, for me, dishcloths do better in crochet!
Hope you like it here and I wish you lots of success!!!
My hubby and I have just celebrated our 51th wedding anniversary, can't believe we've been married that long! We have 2 children and 4 grandchildren and live in Tallahassee, Florida.

Welcome to the team. I also make a lot of dishcloths, baby blankets and hats. I like to crochet & knit equally.

welcome to the team
Everybody tells me that they would love to knit, but they don't have time. I look at people's lives and I can see opportunity and time for knitting all over the place. The time spent riding the bus each day? That's a pair of socks over a month. Waiting in line? Mittens. Watching TV? Buckets of wasted time that could be an exquisite lace shawl. ~Stephanie Pearl-McPhee, At Knit's End: Meditations for Women Who Knit Too Much
Hi, my name is Cheryl. I love to knit. I usually knit about 4 dishcloths a week. I also knit baby blankets and hats. I'll post pictures later...
