welcome to all . yes please do not think of this as a diet . Hi Sue and everyone!

I've been a longstanding member myself and really haven't given it my all. Reading how everyone checks in daily is giving me the encouragement to do the same. Hopefully we can keep an eye on each other and keep us going in the right direction.

SUE, That's great, so glad to hear this! I'm glad I was able to help. It does take time, I've been here maybe 4 yrs. on & off, and I'm still learning. Of course they are always updating and trying to improve the site, so there will be changes along the way. Just keep at it, you'll see results ! Have a great rest of the weekend !!!

My name is Nancy, I became a member October 2010 due to a class I took in college. In January 2012, I started logging into spark a least 3 times a week. Now, I am checking in daily. I joined Livemind and log onto the weekly spark meeting. So far, I have lost 10 lbs and went from a size 22 to a size 20 now. I need a lot of help. I am looking forward in joining this team.

Suesden Welcome to SP and to the team! You sound so much like most of us, dieting our way up the scale! The great thing with SP is that you learn how to do it the right way and the support is amazing! Just take it a day at a time, you will get there! There is a song on a show that my Grand Kids watch and I think it applies : "Keep trying, keep trying, don't give up, never give up" I intend to keep trying and I will never give up till I reach my goal!

Nothing happens overnight. Remember one pound lost is one pound closer to your goal.

Get up every morning, take a deep breath & make it the best day that you possibly can.

I've been dieting for 40 years and have managed to gain 140 pounds. I just turned 60 and my body has decided to let me know the damage all this extra weight has done.
The encouragement and support of Sparkpeople looks amazing, maybe I can learn something? I definitely need help. Thanks.
