I've belonged to SparkPeople since 2007 but never would stick to checking in or logging my food and workouts. Didn't stick to my workouts either. But I recently joined SparkCoach and now I've been logging in daily, logging my food and steps and being consistent with the things I need to do to lose weight. I've also joined some teams and keep in touch with folks who are encouraging me and who I can encourage. All these things seem to be helping me stick with the program.

Hi Bridgette, make yourself a small target for a month say 4 lbs by 18th April.rather than 26lbs to lose. When you see you have lost that it will motivate you to try for the next 4lbs. Total achievement of a wee goal is better than the feeling of standing at the bottom of a sheer wall looking up. ou need to start today and plan your meals and what exercise you will do and how these will fit into your normal daily schedule. Remember you have to measure what you eat and don't always think that because you have exercised you can fill that space with extra food Good luck
Hi I am 53 yrs old. Have reared 5 children and in need of motivation. I need to loose 26 lbs that Serouquil has put on me. I was diagnosed Bipolar in 1990 but I am ok. I believe that the LORD will help me through. As of now I need the encouragement to get from a size 14 to a size 8-10, that is what I am supposed to weigh. I used to be the motivator now I need the motivation.I plan to put all goal into full swing this Monday. Starting from the beginning of the week makes for a better start for me .
