I find that if I let myself get too hungry, I start snacking while cooking. That is why I snack alot during the day on fruit and veg. and lemon water A piece of protein while snacking will also fill your tummy I love babybel cheese or laughing cow. A small container of 35 cal. yogurt is also very filling.

Love the idea of having a sugar free mint while cooking. Will pick some up today.

I really like the suggestion that you gave me. I have some Halls Mentol....sugar free. Thinking about this, I think that it will do the trick. Also, Most of the food that I have is very natural, not tons of flavor. I can uses spices, textures, and the Halls! Thanks.

Hi Cheryl, thanks for the tip. I do keep track but the snacking discourages me.. This is something that I will continue to work on.

Hi Smoothie and welcome. I eat healthy all day long but have trouble with nocturnal snacking (10pm-mindnight). Maybe you could try putting something in your mouth while you are cooking that will prevent you from wanting to taste everything. A strong, slow melting peppermint or even a cough drop might do the trick. The strong flavor will make just about everything you put in your mouth taste terrible.

Hiya SMOOTHIE1231 and welcome to the 50+ SparkTeam!
If I eat it, even a taste, it gets recorded on my nutrition tracker. So if I know I'm going to be snacky as I prepare a meal, I prepare snacks for myself and eat them instead of snacking on the food I am cooking.

Don't wait until you've reached your goal to be proud of yourself. Be proud of every step you take toward reaching that goal.
A few "bad" days can't ruin your plan... only giving up can do that. Just keep going and you will get there.

Don't know much about hemp seed. Now I am curious. Will research it and learn something.

No, actually this type of eatilng keeps me from getting hungry, the only problem is me...my habits of tasting and eating while cooking dinner. My diet is great. Me, not so much.

Hi. I usually eat super healthy, but sometimes I just don't know when to stop. Being very short, the weight comes on very easily. I love avacado which is such a wonderful food, but high in calories. Also, I drink very healthy smoothies with almond milk, spinach, fruit, flax seed, hemp seed, and this can last me through the day. But by the time I cook dinner, although I don't feel hungry, I start picking and eating the pasta that I'm cooking for my hubbie. Then I have some cheese, then nuts.....well you get the picture. No weight loss. I thought that it might help to speak to others who eat very healthy but not all the time.
