Keeping the weight off is tough. I treat DIET like a four letter word. It's better to learn a healthy lifestyle with proper nutrition and regular exercise.
it is never to late to start.
my sister lost 105 pounds at age 63 walking 15000 steps a day.
i have lost 44 pounds by giving up grain and sugar products at age 60..
i walk 15000 steps a day.
i use a salad plate as my dinner plate.
i keep mandrtan oranges in the fridge. when the sweet tooth comes on i grab one or two tablespoons of the fruit.
Hi and to the team. The reason you are good at losing weight but not at keeping it off is that diets do not teach a person how to keep it off. Diets do not teach us how to make the changes needed to be successful. SparkPeople is a lifestyle change that teaches us how to take off the weight, keep it off, and be healthier and happier.

Welcome SOLLIS2 to the 50+ SparkTeam!
I am 54 and trying for the last time in my life to learn how to eat. I've been on every diet known to man. I am very good at losing weight, but not so good at keeping it off.
