Welcome to the 50+ SparkTeam!

Don't wait until you've reached your goal to be proud of yourself. Be proud of every step you take toward reaching that goal.

A few "bad" days can't ruin your plan... only giving up can do that. Just keep going and you will get there.

Hello everyone! For a large part of my life I thought all you had to do was want to lose weight and it would just drop off. Unfortunately, I'm at the stage where that doesn't happen so easily, and I now have compassion for those who try...over and over and over again. I've come to realize that there's a lot of hard work and motivation involved in being successful. I've recently joined SparkPeople, and I'm learning to navigate my way around the site. I'm so impressed with all the stories I've read and feel you will all provide me with the motivation and encouragement that I need. I get so inspired reading about the accomplishments that each of you have and look forward to joining you on this weight loss journey. It's time for me to stop this weight gain, learn to eat healthy, and get my body moving. Good luck to all of you who are on this same journey.
