Hi, I am checking in...I worked as volunteer at the local food bank/thrift store. I work harder, on my feet all day. I feel great spending the day with great people I get to work with and the people we help. Ahhh !

Went to the gym in a very bad mood after dealing with an unreasonable mechanic.
Worked out for two hours (hard) and feel like a million bucks.

Thank you, I will be looking forward to checking in here. I have had a real problem with eating later at night, around 10pm. This has be going on for awhile. I just read the cautions for a sleeping pill and it says May caus sleep-driving, making and eating food. Really. Who needs this. AHHHH!!!!

Thanks to all of you who have responded so lovingly to my post! One of the keys, I suppose, is to take this one day at a time. I've had so many false starts and so many diets, and spent SO much money it is ridiculous. So I am sticking to SP and refusing to spend more money on anything -- just DO IT one day at a time. If I fall, I get up. Today was a great day! Thanks to you all! Blessings! And Happy New Year!

This year, I've learned that Self Love does not equal Self Indulgence. Anything worth having costs something. Self Discipline feels hard, but the rewards are worth it!

Ok, I'm in...I want to get this going I have resolution to loose the weight

it is never to late to start.

my sister lost 105 pounds at age 63 walking 15000 steps a day.

i have lost 44 pounds by giving up grain and sugar products at age 60..

i walk 15000 steps a day.

i use a salad plate as my dinner plate.

i keep mandrtan oranges in the fridge. when the sweet tooth comes on i grab one or two tablespoons of the fruit.

Hello, Spark People! I am 55, and have given birth to 7 children and raised 10. Even though I always felt fat, I haven't really been more than a few pounds overweight until about 10 years ago, when I really started packing on the pounds. Two weeks ago, I needed to lost 50 lbs. to get to what most charts say I should weigh. Now I am 8 lbs closer to that goal. My motivations are to feel better, move more easily, have more energy, and be a sample for the people I help in my practice. You all sound like a great group!

This year, I've learned that Self Love does not equal Self Indulgence. Anything worth having costs something. Self Discipline feels hard, but the rewards are worth it!
