I am 67 and live in South Texas. One of my main exercises is to line dance 3 times a week. So much fun! I add walking the dog and going to Curves as further exercise. With arthritis, I feel the extra weight. Find that exercise you enjoy, and join spark challenges that motivate you...it works. Hugs, Laurel

Thank you so much it means alot to have someone that is going through the same thing and knows how hard it is to take this weight off and keep it off. Welcome, Mary! I'm 56 and I have the same trouble with thyroid ... I'm on Synthroid now. I have tried most every diet in the book but the weight would not come off even with exercise. When my doc put me on Synthroid, she said just do WW and exercise an hour 5 days a week. Hey, hey, hey, it is finally starting to come off!!! I'm not doing WW per se, but I was a leader for many years so I know the drill. I actually like SP better. I like their tracking system. So anyway, welcome and I hope you take the weight off. It isn't easy but it is so worth it!

I am 62 years old and I am fighting my weight !! I found out in May of 2012 that my thyroid had quit working which explained why I was putting on weight and not losing it like I had before. I hope to at least to get a little hope and encouragement from the internet because my family and some of my friends are like you are 62 years old and don't need to look like a model , I don't want to look like a model I just want to be able to get around and be healthier. I have osteoarthritis in both knees but I love to walk so if I had less weight to carry then i would be able to walk a lot more. This is my New Years commitment to get healthy and lose this weight.
