thanks for the suggestions....i am motivated to cut back on the grains and sugar. at this point i will use up the current supply of flour and sugar and go from there. a small step, but in the right directions!

Agree with 111Butterfly111 One step at a time. For portion control you could start with a smaller plate. A plateful on an 8 inch diameter plate has to be less than that on a 9 inch one. If you usually have seconds they will be less on the smaller plate too, but the brain will still think seconds.
i am new to this on-line community for weight loss, but will try. all this information and links are a bit overwhelming. i try to follow a vegan diet, but portion control is the hardest. and the hardest exercise is getting up from the table after a meal. but i am trying ot commit to spark people for accountability.
