my sister lost 105 pounds walking 15000 steps a day at age 63.

i lost 44 pounds by giving up grain and sugar products at age 60.

i use a salad plate as a dinner plate.

i use a childs for and spoon so i eat slower. it takes your brain 20 minutes to tell your stomach your full.

Hi and welcome back.
Food I am convinced can be what I fancy just not the amounts my plate takes necessarily.
I have just had 2 days going into day 3 where I have had fancy cakes as part of my evening meals and bacon rolls and no Rabbit food (like we used to assume was part of the dieting regime) and been satisfied and in my calories range.

Exercise is not my bag either even without health limitations but my friend with health limitations goes to a "take a chair" class where everything is done from a seated position and I can assure you it is hard going for me when I can go along.

With limited mobility for exercising there is a Spark Team named Chair Exercise Team you might want to check out. Also on this site there are seated exercise videos. I have done some of those and they are good.
Glad you are here. There is a lot of information and support here.

Hi folks. Well I've been joined up for a little while and really not used the site or got off the starting block. Lots of genuine excuses ,but still excuses..been a bad couple of years for me,but time to grab the reigns ! I want to loose 30 - 40 lbs . I know exercise is a bit limited due to physical probs BUT I also know I CAN INCREASE what I'm doing. I've also concentrated too much on my grown up boys (who live with me)and their lifes,food has been more their preference ..now its time for me to get back to my preference for me..they are old enough to do their own and sunday roast we can have together,as I cook this healthy anyway.

I want to be at my goal my this time next year so its very doable. IT IS TIME .

If anyone is just starting it would be great to buddy each other :)
