Thank you all!
I really appreciate your messages and have been touched by the fact that you took the time to respond to me. I didn't realise how much moral support and encouragement there was available out there. This has been such a boost; practical, kind and honest advice that was so needed. Yesterday my drive was in my boots, today I feel recharged, refocused and ready to take the fight to the fat - watch this space....
All best wishes to my team members - you're all brilliant!

Oh, man! I just want to give you a hug. I have so been there! I was huge, HUGE at my oldest daughter's wedding & slimmed down at my youngest. You know, it didn't matter. They wanted me to celebrate with them even if I had warts growing on my nose or horns out of my head. When you truly love someone, the only thing you see is pure beauty.
Go ahead & work hard to become healthy, but don't forget to enjoy your life, your children, & all the times you have together!
Welcome to our team & I wish you great health & happiness!

Hi, Allison It doesn't matter how long it takes to reach our goals - all that matters is that we are reaching for them

Hi Sharon, I do track my food intake and my weight and my fitness but I think that sometimes my quantities might not be dead accurate, its not always easy to get that right so I think a return to basics as you suggest would be good. Thanks for that and all best wishes. Alison

Hi Allison and to the team.
It is natural for our weight loss to slow down the closer we get to our goal weight. Have you been using the nutrition tracker? Sometimes our bodies need a little jolt to reawaken them. You could try by adding or decreasing your caloric intake by 100 calories for a few days to see if that get things moving again for you. You could also increase the amount of exerc ise you are getting a bit.
Using both the nutrition and fitness trackers helps us analyse what we are doing and helps us find areas where we require small changes. If you are already using the trackers go back and review them to see where you need to make adjustments.

Hi, I've been on Sparkpeople for a while now and have lost 14 pounds but it has taken sooooo long. I am sure that I am not doing everything as pefectly as I should be but I do try and even so, my weight loss is so gradual that there are days when I find it really hard to keep going. This is my first post, just looking for a little support to get me through. I went to my eldest daughter's graduation in July and was shocked at the photos. I promised myself that I would look different for my youngest daughter's graduation in November but it's only three weeks away now and having gone from losing 2lbs a week in the first couple of weeks, to 1lb a week for a few weeks and now only 1/2 lb in each of the last two weeks, I am getting so down. I have at least another stone and a half to go and just wondered what other people have done at times like this? PS. to all those whose stories and messages I have seen on here - you are awesome! Alison
