Hi Diane, and welcome to the team. I've been there and done that, too.....many, many times. It's a matter of making a lifestyle change instead of dieting. We need to learn better ways of eating and living if we are to succeed.

Spark is great and it works if you use the tools and don't play games with yourself I have been guilty of playing those games and it wasn't until I came back to Spark in May of this year that I got serious. I've stopped looking for "substitutions" for the junk and started learning to eat right and stay active.
So glad you decided to join the team and I look forward to sharing the journey with you!

Hi, I'm Diane. I just turned 54 yesterday. The cake and ice cream is done and it's time to work at weight loss, hopefully this time for good! I've been a WW member off and on since i was 20. I've lost and regained the same 25 pounds I don't know how many times. 6 years ago, i was at my highest and then lost 50 pounds, only to regain it all back again. I know it's not productive to beat myself up about it, but it's hard not to. I often wonder what I would've been accomplishing it I hadn't spent the last 35 years focusing on my weight. I'm looking forward to getting and giving support here at SparkPeople.
