Welcome to the team. awesome you have decide to start on the journey that will help you stay motivated. I am learning to take this time around not as a diet but as a way of life. I am 60 years young this year with a lot of pain in my legs and back. I also can not do a lot of the exercise. So I try to walk and stretch. With this program you are going to learn how to stay motivated and how to live a healthy lifestyle.So take your time and explore this site.

Hi and welcome to the team Here's my best advice: 1) Use your nutrition tracker faithfully, every single day and for every single meal. It will keep you honest and accountable for your choices of food and the amounts you eat; 2) Find a few exercises/activities you actually enjoy doing and then do them 3-4X a week. If you enjoy the activity you will stick with it: 3) Stay active with your Spark Team(s). That is where you will get your encouragement, support, and motivation along the way; and, 4) try to have fun with this! If you make this your friend, you will hang in there and until you reach your destination
One more thought: don't worry about how fast or slow you lose the weight. This is one area where the old cliche "slow and steady wins the race" really does apply. We are learning to develop a new relationship with food and re-educate ourselves regarding how to make healthy choices and eat the correct portions This process takes time but in the end, it is well worth the investment made.

I'm exhausted just thinking of new ways to try to lose 4 lbs, let alone the 40 I really need to lose! How many times can I really start over again?! I just learned of this site and I'm hoping the team will help give me the encouragement and motivation that I need, but as you all know, it's the first step that's the hardest. It's going to be a slow start, but I'll be checking in for support often. Here I go again!!
