Hi and welcome to the team. Yes, you have to take time for you and take care of yourself. No-one can do that for you. SP offers lots of good information and tools to help us all succeed in making lifestyle changes for a healthier, happier life.
Hi, SWEET, and My best advice is 1) use your nutrition tracker faithfully, every single day, because it will keep you honest and accountable for your choices; 2) find a few exercises/activities you actually LIKE doing and then do them 3-4X a week - if you like doing them, you have a better chance of sticking with them; 3) stay active with your teams because they will keep you motivated and give you support and encouragement, and; 4) try to have fun with this because if you enjoy the journey you will reach your destination! This is a great team and everyone here is always there for you - to support, encourage, and motivate you along the way!

Don't approach this as a short term "diet" This is a lifestyle change. Successful people incorporate small changes into the way they live that lead to long term permanent weight loss. My program today after a year is definitely different from the program I started with. As you get more fit you will doe more exercise which will make you feel better. You will learn to balance your food for optimum satisfaction and enjoyment and you will not feel deprived. Good luck!

I'm so happy that my friend told me about this website. I was just reading a progress note from a memeber who stated take it slow, don't strave yourself and keep it real (my words). I too been struggling with my weight - more so now since the passing of my lovely husband. But, I have do me now and get it off. I will continue view the message board for Hot Topics and healthful tips. Again thank you for opening up a new way for people like me. Sweet Brown
