Hi, KHARMON, and welcome to Spark and to the Team emoticon I, like you, have had the weight on and off - and then on and off again emoticon I have also been on and off Spark for years. I came back in May with a new attitude and a new sense of responsibility for my weight. No more excuses; no more blaming anything and everything else - this is a self-imposed state of being and I was ready to seriously deal with it. So far, so good. I have always been someone who loses weight very slowly - kind of like the emoticon in that race, but that's okay because this is one area where the old cliche "slow and steady wins the race" really applies. I have learned how to make this a lifestyle and not just a "diet." I am forming a new relationship with food and I'm re-educating myself regarding portion control emoticon If I could give anyone any worthwhile advice it would be this: 1) use your Nutrition Tracker faithfully, every single day, because it will keep you honest with yourself and accountable for your choices of food; 2) find a couple of exercises/activities you actually enjoy doing and do them 3-4 X a week, every week (if you enjoy what you are doing, you will stick with it over the long haul; 3) stay active with your Spark Teams because they will keep you motivated and encourages, and give you support when you need it, and; 4) make this fun! Your chances of success will double if you learn to have fun with this and savor every small victory! emoticon I look forward to sharing information and experiences with you on this journey emoticon

I have been married for 15 years and have 6 grandchildren and 2 great grand children, the weight has come on and off and I'm ready to keep it off and get healthy at the same time. I need motivation and I am depending on everyone to help me get to my goal weight. I know its my responsibility!
