Hi and welcome to Spark and to the team! emoticon I don't know what method you used to lose the weight last time but I can tell you that I have lost and gained it back more times then I care to think about emoticon That is why I love Spark so much - because I'm learning what I do that causes me to gain it all back. This is truly a lifestyle - not a diet - and I am learning to have a healthy new relationship with food as well as re-educating myself on how much to eat emoticon Portion distortion was a major problem for me, along with a diet that consisted of way too many starchy carbs. I've written several blogs about these areas I've struggled with and that - just writing about them - has helped me get control and make the changes I needed to make. My advice is this - and advice is cheap, you can take it or leave it - 1) use your Nutrition Tracker faithfully, every single day, because it will keep you honest with yourself and accountable for the food choices you make; 2) find a few exercises/activities you actually will enjoy doing and do them 3-4 X a week - if you don't enjoy the exercise/activity, you will not stick with it for the long haul; 3) stay active with your Spark Teams because that is where you will get support, encouragement, and loads of motivation to emoticon and, 4) Be kind to yourself and enjoy this whole trip! Have fun with it and don't worry about how fast you lose. If you can have fun with it you will succeed and you won't feel like you are undergoing some kind of punishment. This is a great team and everyone is very caring and supportive. Good luck, keep posting, and be confident because emoticon

my sister walks 15,000 steps a day at 63 years old and has lost 105 pounds.

i gave up grain and sugary products and have lost 44 pounds at age 60.

we are both still loosing weight until we reach our goal

i googled this morning and found spark people. i am feeling quite discouraged. i had lost some weight last year and thought i had it licked -- well i didnt. after a knee replacement this winter and a change in jobs, i find myself gaining weight and not liking it.
