Greetings and welcome to the team! There is no doubt that it gets more difficult to loose weight as we get older - but, it is not impossible. I think the hardest thing for me to learn and accept is that I just don't need as many calories as I did when I was younger. I'm doing better with my goals now because I'm learning to find foods that fill me and stay with me instead of a lot of empty calories like refined- high-carbohydrate foods. The nutrition tracker is my absolute best friend because it keeps me honest and accountable. I also really appreciate all my teams and the wonderful and supportive people who are there for you and don't judge you. So glad you decided to share your health and weight loss journey with us! emoticon

my sister walks 15,000 steps a day at 63 years old and has lost 93 pounds.

i gave up grain and sugary products and have lost 44 pounds at age 60.

we are both still loosing weight until we reach our goal.

Hi all,

I just joined yesterday, I am 54, and from UK. I think you have more issues with losing weight as you get older. I had 2 children later, 36 and 39 and never reallty lost the weight like I did with my first one that I had at 29. I have also had my gall bladder removed, have under active thyroid for which I take thyroxine and am menopausal. Whist not excuses I don't think any of these help! I work full time and with the kids and house etc its difficult to find time to exercise. I have joined the walking group on this site and printed off some maps so I know how far I am walking!
