Hi and welcome to the team. Perhaps you could check with your doctor to see if physical therapy could help or if there are exercises he could recommend that are safe for you to do. When I asked my Dr. about safe exercises for me he sent me to physical therapy.

emoticon to the team. I had hip replacement surgery and now I move well. I hope the doctors can help. There are some exercise that can be done i a chair. Plus I love the Leslie Sansone walking dvds

Hi - I am 53 years old and trying to lose weight for our son's wedding in Nov 2010. I have always been active but in the last year or so have had to reduce excercise due to pinched nerve in neck and back/hip pain. It's very frustrating as I know I need to exercise to lose weight but can't exercise.. I am under a physicians care for the pain. I try and do walking DVD's on most days which seems to help with pain control most of the time. When the pain does strike, it usually last for 2 - 3 weeks. My weight has increased this year by 10lbs so I am weighing in at 196 on most days. I don't have unrealistic goals.. I would like to go from a size 14 to a size 10.. around 160 lbs.
