I gave up alcohol many years ago when my daughters were little. I might have rekindled my taste for beer later but I became an EMT 21 years ago so I have the perfect excuse. I am on call 24/7 365 days of the year. Do the best you can but don't give it up cold turkey. Cut back a little at a time and see what happens.

emoticon I've been on a plateau for a while now so I get what you are dealing with. I just joined the 28 day Boot Camp hoping for more motivation and for the extra support.
I have found if I plan my snacks ahead of time and make them fall within my calorie and nutrition goals it has worked a lot better. Sometimes when I realize I am comfortable full and haven't finished my meal, I save the remaining and have it a bit later, which wirks great for a snack. I've started to always read and check nutrition facts on all snacks now and if they don't fit I don't buy them. Beer isn't one of my beverages of preference but I bought the Takeya drink maker pitcher set from Costco recently and have started to have iced herbal tea almost always ready to go. Perhaps you could make one that is the same color as your beer and add a bit of club soda to it and you may be surprised how it may satisfy that need and help with your goals. ...and good for you for regularly working out...that is huge!! emoticon

Hi. I am not new to this site but can't seem to stick to it for any length of time and definitely need support. I need to lose 15 - 20 pounds and this is the site i keep coming back to. I have found that snacking does not work for me I need to stick to 3 meals a day. I also drink alot of beer in the summer. I have tried to switch to wine and keep it to a minimum but as everyone knows there are alot of parties in the summer and my resistance to alcohol is about as good as it is to food. I have alot of binges and am surprised that I don't need to lose more. One good thing is that I do workout regularly.
