Getting older makes it harder tolose weight. I found that exercise, especially aerobics, was very helpful to losing weight. If you don't exercise much, just adding 20 minutes a day can help tremendously. I was doing 30 minutes every day when my weight stopped going down and I had to bump it up a notch. Now I do 40 most days and I had to change the activity I was doing so my body would react by losing weight. Also, tracking food was essential. It was soooo difficult to start doing it, but once I started, I found that I was eating more than I thought. Good Luck! Keep us posted on your efforts. Cindy.

hi all - I am new here and trying to figure out this site. I am 54 and need to lose 15 - 20 lbs. I tried to do Weight Watchers on my own, but became frustrated when I only lost 2 lbs in 3 weeks. I am a fairly healthy eater, but do have a nasty sweet tooth. And I need to incorporate exercise. I am hoping for some insight, encouragement and comradely on this site. And some help! Seriously, I use to be able to drop weight easily, but not so anymore. The fat around my middle and hips won't budge! I am getting remarried soon and would love to look great on that day! Any helpful hints are deeply appreciated. I look forward to getting to know all of you on this site. I would love to hear from those you are working on losing the weight and those who have succeeded.
