Denise, I've been where you are. I started working out when I was 49 so I would be in better shape when I turned 50. I turned 50 6 mons ago and have met my first goal (lost 22 lbs) and am working on new goals now. It can be done! I am at a weight I haven't been at since I was 37 yrs old. Getting lots of compliments and not afraid to wear anything! You can do it too--but it is definately a diet and exercise combo to make it happen.

Welcome Denise. I am 52. I started to do more "Mindful Eating" and exercise about 2 1/2 months ago. I am pleased to say I am down almost 20 lbs and saw a number on the scale this morning that I haven't seen in a very long time (Years and Years). You can do this!!!
Hi, My name is Denise and I turned 50 this year. My goal is to be 50 and fit. I currently weigh 148 lbs. and I am 5' tall. My short term goal weight is 135 lbs. I never lost all the baby fat from my first pregnancy...21 years ago..ugh. I do have some thyroid issues (not to make excuses) so I understand that it will be a bit more challenging - but I AM UP FOR THE CHALLENGE! I belong to a gym and I try to do some sort of workout 4-5 days per week. I will gladly accept any advice or criticism anyone has to offer :)
