Welcome! I joined the Spark site for the tracking as well. I wanted to work on portion control and tracking is essential for that. I have found the site tremendously helpful. Since I started in May I have lost 20 pounds and, although maintaining over the winter, plan to lose another 10. It is the perfect set up for it, so enjoy!
I am enrolled in a University of Florida class on nutrition and have to track my food for four days as a assignment. Found Sparkpeople and it seemed alot more interesting than the "MyPlate.org that the teacher suggested, so I chose to use sparkpeople instead. I am impressed with the completeness of the site and all the motivation here. i am a 54 year old first time grandma who has married my soulmate at 50 and getting fit and down to my ideal weight so i can retire to a sailboat with my honey in one year!
