5 years ago, I started WW and in the first week I started to walk. Just walk. It exhausted me in just 10 minutes. But I kept at it. Within a year, the walks became runs, the runs became races. First 5k, then 10k, then a half-marathon, sprint triathlon, full marathon ... OK, the fulls weren't my distance, but I can now do a half every week.
And I lost 90 pounds.
Motivated yet? You don't have to become a runner. It happened by accident for me. But you do need to move. Bike, swim, do not neglect strength training, sports. Just move it.

Happy New year everyone! I am 52 years old and am joining to lose weight, be more consistent with exercise. Could sure use some support as I have difficulty with staying motivated. I have had problems with weight off and on, but as I get older I do find it is easier to gain and harder to lose. I want to stop yo-yo dieting and lead a healthy lifestyle.
