Purge your kitchen of junk and processed foods. Shop the perimeter of the stores where all the fresh foods are.Toss the salt shaker. Bake or boil your food, no deep fried except on rare occasions. Pack your lunch and snacks (opt for fruits). Track every bite and keep your body moving. There are all the tools and articles here to help you on your way and many team members to cheer you on.

Welcome but do not let some of us fool you, we do not have a clue what we are doing either. We just get up and DO something. At our age something is much better than not doing anything, so good luck and get us posted on you're progress and do not give up.

I am feeling a little in "ah" of all of you. It seems you have all got started but I am still only thinking about and preparing for doing something.

Yesterday I bought a bike trainer and I am hoping to get started by putting it together this weekend. In the mean time, walking my dog and a bit of stretching will be my workout.

One problem I am having is that I have always been a runner and that has prevented weight gain and taken care of any extra pounds within a month if they happen. This time I have decided to listen to my knees which have been really sore once I entered my 50s - 4 years ago, and not run anymore. So now I find myself with a lot of weight to lose and no ready strategy to do it. Hmmm

Today is the day that I can make a difference!
