Welcome to the team. You don't need exercise machines or a gym, so that's the good news. You can pick up a Leslie Sansong DVD and a pair of 3 lb. hand weights and work out in front of your tv. Enjoy your recovery.

There are lots of body weigh exercises you can do to help with your fitness. Or you can pick up some inexpensive weights or bands at Walmart or Target. Also you can check on Craigslist for exercise gear.

I'm new here on this site, because I had heart by-pass surgery on August 1, 2012 and kideny stents on July 30, 2012 and also found that my thyroid was low and I was holding a lot of fluid, which was drained off at the hospital before my surgery. I have lost about 40 lbs. and would like to lose a little bit more. I have just finished with cardiac rehab and don't have any excercise equipment at home and the rehab is 28 miles away, so I can't afford to go there three days a week. I also can't go outside and walk because it is too cold for me now. Any suggestions would be great. I live in a very small town and don't have access to a gym.
