Raking for a half hour. Good for you! In this brisk weather it is easier to get out there and be active than in the heat of the summer, for me anyway. My body overheats so easily that the cooler weather is a better baseline for me. I'm watching the landscapers blow our leaves right now. I live in a condo so I don't have any yard work of my own to do. My thing is to take long walks.

Whining? I just hate when people call me a whiner. When people call me whiner I just feel the need to dive into a bag of Oreos, spread peanut butter on them, and wash it done with a couple of six packs of beer. And I just can't figure out why I can't lose weight!

Nobody is watching over you but yourself. I love this site because it has made me accountable to ME. Once you see just how much you're eating and how much you are burning, you will be in a position to adjust your food intake and your calories burnt. I have been on SP for nearly 4 years now and have never regretted being on this site.
