BONIMONI,

Welcome to the team. And AMEN! You've come to the right place. As far as weights, I own them and don't use them. I know better and don't do better. Keep talking about what you are accomplishing. It might stimulate... me!

Hello all! I am new to Sparkpeople. I think this is a really neat community and I'm glad I uncovered the note pad I had written "www.sparkpeople.com" on. I am looking forward to being inspired and would love to be an inspiration to others. I have 20 pounds to lose. It's not a lot but for some reason it just seems so dog-gone difficult! Can I get an "Amen!?" Before joining Sparkpeople, I have been trying to cut out sugar and bread and all white starchy products. So far it's been o.k. I haven't been able to exercise much because I just had a tear in the miniscus of my right knee repaired and my kneecap smoothed out. It's stiff and sore and painful! But, it is getting better and I am looking forward to the day when I can get back to walking and to working out with weights. The older I get the more I realize how important weight training is to maintaining my muscle mass and my bone mass. Glad to be here!
