Welcome, Monica. I read somewhere that idealy a person should drink a glass of water after every cup of coffee, tea or alcoholic drink. But I have also read that liquid is liquid and should be counted. A year ago I was drinking three 22 oz bottles of water, 10 cups of coffee and three or four cups of green tea and ended up in the hospital because I had washed all the sodium and potassium (electrolites) out of my body. My legs hurt and ankles swelled. My mindset was 'if a lot is good, more is better'. So I cut way back on my water, coffee and tea and everything went back to normal.
Use your own judgement and don't go overboard. Happy journey.

Hello, I'm Monika and I am working towards losing 20 pounds, have lost 3 so far. Question for the group, I tend to be a hot coffee and tea (with 1 splenda) person, can this liquid be considered and counted as my water in-take for the day? :)
