Welcome! I love this site! I joined 5 months ago and have lost 20 pounds. For the first 10 weeks I did NOT weigh myself thus did not sabotage myself with mind games. I felt so positive and motivated every day because I could see myself shaping up every day and the clothes were looser.
I have a 17 year old son in Grade 12 and a daughter in university. It`s a good time to get back in shape and feel great! You can do it too!

You are right, making it a priority is the way to go! It needs to be like a job that you do, or a project, which pays you with great satisfaction (eventually). Best of luck! We are right there with you!

Joined today. I'm 54 with a 17 y/o daughter still at home. I recently moved and have no scale, But I know I need to lose weight, my pants are too tight! I'm guessing I'm about 140-145 and I'm 5'2". I'm looking forward to making weight loss and exercise a priority. Hoping this will also help balance out workplace stress.
