I am back on Spark after loosing nearly 60 lbs in time for my wedding in October of 2011. Afterwards I let my new job and 'life' get in the way and be the excuse for not sticking with my new life plan. NO more...I call this chapter of my life Part 2. Two active kids and a wonderful supportive husband keep me motivated.
I started again mid-January and feel so empowered and in control with the tracking tools. I loved participating in the community chats so this is my official return.
Good lock to all.

I joined in February, but am finally getting around to finding my way on this site. It is difficult for me to find time, but I will check in when I can. (I am a caregiver for my sister who has had two brain surgeries and is having a third one next week. I also work overnights.) I have recently managed to work in 15-20 minutes of yoga before bed each day and I try to walk daily although sometimes the only walking I get is thanks to the dog (she likes to stop a lot, but that kind of walk is better than no walk!).

Hi, My name is Tracy, I love Chicago Bears, and I love to read. I am the heaviest I have ever been and that needs to change. Watching what I eat and being more active are my goals to help me with this. Looking forward to being a part of the group for support and giving support!

Hi, I'm Tracie. I am 42 years old and have been yo-yo dieting for way too long. I am looking for some inspiration to kick these winter ho-hum days in the butt. I am tired of doing it alone and am looking for a group to join. I hope this is the one.

Hi there, I've never been here before and am amazed by all the resources. I am way closer to 50 than I realized (lol) but am committing to a major change. Hubby and I have a day number 1 plan and it includes eating better and moving more. Going to check out the trackers next. Two big dogs and 3 kids all off at school, both of us with sedentary jobs and need a big kick in the rear. Excited to be here. Want to make this a real change. Have had a lot of false starts over the years.
Looking forward to learning more and taking advantage of this supportive community,

Hi all: I'm here again after a few years, and just set up a new account for a fresh start. I want to be fit and healthy when I am 50. I have a few years to get there, but my goal is to be well on the way by September.
Big love, Caroshine

Hi everyone... I had NO idea how many options are available via SP. To be honest, I'm a little overwhelmed right now. I signed up a few days ago and then didn't get back to create my page until yesterday. My main struggle right now is knowing what I need to do and what my goals are but being super resistant to taking the first step. I think my lifelong weight problem coupled with my inconsistent activity pattern has become so entrenched that creating something new feels foreign. So I think my first step is getting my head in the game. I'm taking small steps toward healthier lifestyle. Suggestions are welcome and appreciated!

Hello all. I am here to lose the baby weight. I had my first in December 2011 and gained 90 pounds (good grief). I lost 50 of that, then got pregnant again and gained another 40 pounds. I had my son in September 2013. The two close pregnancies with all that weight gain have sort of sent my world spinning. Don't get me wrong, I love being a mother and didn't think I would ever get the honor, but now that things are settling out of the new born phase I feel like I need to get back under control. I am must having a hard time doing that. I have an immense sense of guilt when I take any time for myself, and I need to get a grip. Working full time with two kids and running myself into the ground with no exercise and bad food choices is no longer acceptable. I always said I wouldn't be the fat mom, and yet here I am. So if anyone has any suggestions or support my ears are wide open!! I really struggle lately trying to figure all of this out, and I tend to be incredibly hard on myself when I am not an instant success. I don't know, little down today and just rambling now :)

I am new to Spark People. I have tried to lose weight for a long time now and I've not been successful. I have spent a lot of money trying to lose weight. I'm really hoping this will work. I am in my 40s and have about 43lbs to lose. I have been exercising but not everyday. I started my MBA and writing my paper for my class takes a lot of my time. I'm actually cheating on time right now by finding this website. Event though I've been trying for a long time to lose weight, I haven't given up. I'm really hoping to be successful this time.

Hello. I am 42, soon to be 43 on the 22nd of this month. I am happy to be back. I was a spark member about 7 years ago. I left after I started WW. I am back because this is a great program/site and I feel like I can get everything I need here for free. I did loose weight on WW but it has slowly come back. I am going thru early menopause and I am struggling more than ever to stay active and motivated. I am looking forward to getting that motivation back.

Hi! Just celebrated my 42nd bday on Friday and I'm here because I owe myself the gift of good health! I'm a comfort/boredom eater who craves carbs and sugars. I've also given myself a 30 day exercise challenge...I'm 4 days in!
I'm looking forward to lower blood sugars, lower blood pressure and looser-fitting clothes.
Nice to meet you all!

I know how it is with the food and having access to it and being challenging I work at a fast food restaurant and it's tough not to sneak a french fry when the boss isn't looking and that can add on weight too. wish you the best on your journey.

Good morning! I am Jennifer and this is my first time posting anything on a team page. I'm a married mom of 4 and I work full time outside the home. I have lots of weight to lose, but I'm looking at it as a forever change to a healthier lifestyle. I know it's Super Bowl Sunday and I just want to encourage everyone to stay on track. Create a plan that includes healthy and rightly-portioned snacks and meals and stick to that plan! You are all working so hard to lose weight - it will feel great tomorrow when you know you've stuck to your plan today!!!! You can do it!!

Hi there, I am back on spark I love this site. I had fallen off track quite awhile ago but chose to get back on track and I know spark is the place to be. My goal is to lose the extra pounds I have gained over the past year and learn to live a healthy lifestyle. I have joined a healthy living challenge at work and have a team with 7 other co-workers it just happened to come at the right time my team mates are great but I wanted something to keep track of my everyday eating and exercise so of course I chose spark. I plan on being as active as possible on here to give and receive support as much as possible. Part of my biggest problem that I struggle with is night time cravings, I have been staying away from all the pop and chips this week I refuse to buy them which helps a lot but I still have that feeling of wanting to munch. I guess one other issue right now is I work different shifts so this week I finish work at 9 pm and its almost a habit programmed into my brain that when I go home I need to make supper even though I had my supper at work at 5 pm. So I go through that hunger feeling at 9:30- 10:00pm. When I work the early shift I am home by 4:30 have supper about 5:00-5:30 then by 8:00 pm I get cravings so Those are my biggest struggles right now I will work on maybe breaking up my meals to small meals and eat more often maybe that will help. Any other suggestions? I welcome all your ideas I am looking forward to chatting to you all

As you stated, I also have been a part of Spark before, but never really felt connected to anyone (even though I "joined" teams). But, this time, I am determined. Maybe, we can help each other stay motivated. I must admit this week has been tough but I am staying strong. My cat, Harry, that we have had for 14 years passed away suddenly. We made it through that and then my man lost a front tooth due to an injury which well equate to many appointments and MONEY. But, I will make sure I stay focused on my well being. I will continue to stay in contact.

I am a 41 year old, wife and mother of 3 grown children, from Iowa. I have been on spark before and lost weight and then gained it back again. I have never gotten involved in any spark teams or pages and I'm hoping that by getting involved I will actually succeed this time. I start off strong and then lose momentum. I have decided to sign up for challenges this summer to help keep me motivated. I am going to try a Gladiator Assault Challenge this year. I'm also going to run a few 5k's and try to build back up to running a 1/2 marathon again. I am a daycare provider and so I have access to food all day which makes losing weight more challenging.

I have wandered in and out of here for a couple of years and now I need to stick with it and shed those obstinate 20 lbs. I work from home so I plan on keeping away from the fridge and working out with the JM 30 Day Shred (10 days in) and about 12 miles a week doing a brisk walk/run. I have been going to they gym 3x a week for two years and just got so bored with the routine that I cancelled my membership. My biggest challenge is going to be avoiding my kids' snacks since I'm home all day.

Hi there! My name is Jeannie. I'm 46 and currently weigh 175. I am getting married in July, so I'd love to lose 20-30 by the wedding... well, ideally, at least a good chunk (maybe 15-20) by end of April (that's the deadline for my dress alterations to start).
In addition, I would like to ultimately get down to 135-140 by October. I am hoping to run the Chicago Marathon and I know dropping the weight will help me run it a lot faster than my prior two marathons.
I am a hard core runner ... or at least I was until about September. I started struggling with some energy issues and bonking during my runs and it just stopped being fun. So I stopped for a while. I finally started running again the weekend before Christmas. I started slow, just doing 1 min running/1 min walking for a while, then gradually lengthening the time i was running. I'm finally getting closer to where i used to be .. .I ran 5 miles this morning. I'm in a running club but have been too embarrassed to run with them until i could run 5 without feeling like I was going to heave a lung! I'm almost there!
I also started lifting weights right before Christmas as well. I'm lifting 5-6 days a week, alternating upper, lower and core each time. I am finally making some progress .. I was 181 at Christmas, now I"m 175. The progress is defnitely a lot slower in my 40s. I lost 80 lbs in my mid 30s with WW and it seemed like it came off easier then. But ... as long as I see progress.... I can deal.
Sorry -- that was kind of long and rambling. Looking forward to chatting with you all.

Just joined last week, I'm 48 years old. I currently weight 184 (this is the highest I have ever been aside from when I was pregnant). An extra 15 pounds has creeped up on me over the last year (I went thru menopause) Plus I quit smoking 2 months ago.
My goal is to get down to 150, so I have about 35 pounds to lose. Starting in small steps 10#'s at a time. I've started to exercise again (only 30 min a day). My downfall is Happy Hour, my kids are now 20 & 28 leaving me and the hubby more time to get out!

Welcome MYLIFEBGNS- I relate alot to you it appears! I too have been part of SP for many years and just this past time have become really involved- especially with this team it is my most favorite and everyone on this team is very encouraging and supportive. It really is true that by being more involved we do better. I have really been doing good this time around by being more involved. And have faith there is life after Coca-Cola and Sweet Tea!! Since August I have had a few good weeks where pop wasn't a part of the equation, and this past 2 weeks is my longest streak!! I don't even miss it. It just takes time. In all the articles I've read they state it takes 30 to create a habit- BS!!! I tell myself it took a good 38 years (I'm 48) to form these bad eating habits of mine it will take longer than 30 days!!! LOL
Nice meeting you and all the new members of the team!!!

Hi everyone! Ok - I have been on SP for at least two years now and have actually been a part of this team, but, I never really committed myself. That is going to change! Why? Because I have a two year old granddaughter than I plan to watch grow up. So, today is my new official start. First goal - exercise more. Actually, at my work, they have initiated wellness plans and I am going to take advantage of that. Beginning today, I get to walk for 30 minutes three times a week. In addition, I am going to get rid of two of my biggest downfalls: Coca-Cola and sweet tea.

Hello, new yesterday. 44 yrs old and Dr. is concerned about many factors so it's time to make some changes. 5'8" tall and 190 lbs. Cholesterol and Triglycerides high, pre-diabetic just to start :) My mother is diabetic and both her mom and dad were also, as well, of her 9 siblings 6 of them are diabetic, so yeah, it runs in the family. My mom has already suffered many obstacles, Open heart surgery, blood clots, stroke, diabetes are the big ones that I hope I do not inherit and is why I am here.
Goals, get healthier! It's more than losing weight, my husband is very thin and likes his fat and calories. Loves me cooking with butter and always wants baked sweets in house... Need to gain a lot more will power and cook so he eats things that are good for us, as well as 4 kids and I have a hard time not licking yogurt foils before throwing them in the trash and taste testing everything as I go along. Wish me luck

My name is Bobbie and I have been with SP off and on for 8yrs. I was doing really well with healthy eating and exercising but last year proved very challenging with all the changes going on in my life and I gained 30 pounds back :(
So here I am back on SP once again to help me get motivated and to help me get back on track.
I have to admit I never reached my goal weight and I have reassessed my that, when I reached my lowest of 148 I got a lot of I don't think you need to lose anymore weight. And I have to admit I wasn't unhappy at that weight I just thought I needed to tone up more. So I guess that is my goal now 148 instead of 135. So that leaves me needing and wanting to lose 32 pounds this year. I will be at a healthy BMI again :)

Hi my name is Joyce. I lost close to 100lbs and had kept it off for over 6 years. However in the last year I put on 23lbs. I continue to go to the gym and take spinning class as often as I can. But as my girls get more involved in activities it is harder for me to find me time. I need to start tracking my food again and stop cutting corners. I hope by reconnecting with the Spark website will help me get back on track,

My name is kara and I am going to be 48 in few short weeks. I have struggled with eating healthy for many years but have remained active. I would like to combine the two so that I can get optimum results. It is a challenge for me to keep track of the food I am eating so I have got a journal to help when my computer is not around. I also am finding out that when I am bored I eat. Looking forward to breaking that habit :)

Hi. My name is Sarah and am a 42 year old mother of 2. I have struggled my whole life to keep my weight down. My wake-up moment was when I saw a video of myself and couldn't believe that that was me. I got a gym membership and a trainer and have been consistent for 4 months now but the weight keeps going in the wrong direction. My trainer says that I am not eating enough food and that my body has just shut down. The problem is that I forget to eat. I'm never hungry. After having been told forever that to lose weight you must eat less, trying to actually eat food for weight loss is a is a concept that I just cannot wrap my brain around.
Does anyone else have this problem or is it just me? Thanks.

Hi, my name is Chrissy. I'm 45 years old. I'm married, have 2 school age children and 1 crazy dog. I've struggled with my weight all my life. The last time I was at a healthy weight was 14 years ago when I got married. After having my second child I was still carrying an extra 20 lbs and kept it on for about 6 years. Then I went back to work full time and all hell broke lose with my weight! In the past 4-5 years I've packed on another 20 lbs. But enough is enough! I can't keep going on like this! I need discipline and need to stop making excuses, and justifying why its ok to eat chocolate and other junk food. I have a ton of 'mother guilt', and I think because I feel guilty about not being able to be home with my kids I don't feel like I should take any time away from being with them to do something good for me, like exercise (but then again, that's probably just another excuse)
I need lots of support and lots of tough love!

hello to all the 40 somethings here w/ 1 clear definitive action - to lose 25-49# I for one have started about a year and a half ago by implementing the green smoothie regimen and also adding organic hemp protein powder to it. haven't done any fitness programs but that will soon change as I have found me MY ideal workout, and also implementing Filipino martial arts for the long haul.
i am also on the PALEO eating lifestyle and am consulting w/ 2 gentlemen that have created the workout program I will soon embark on as both men are into fitness, one being a dr specializing in FUNCTIONAL MEDICINE, the other is a former mr. olympia, responsible for opening THE VERY 1st GOLD'S GYM, a fitness coach and consultant for over 35 years, strength & conditioning trainer for the US ARMY, and also well versed in kinesiology. i know I'm on my way to reaching my toned and well built body @ the goal of 195 2daystofitness.com/

I want to live a life of moving, and NOT wishing I was !!! My goal is to lose 27 pounds by the end of May, right b4 my Birthday !!!!!! Hi, I'm Chris. I joined SP in 2011 and loved it, but I got busy and stopped using the site for quite a while. I'm back now and hoping to lose about 50 pounds altogether by the end of 2014. I have lost 7 so far. I like to run, but have a weak hip that I'm still working on strengthening. I've run a few 5Ks and would love to work up to a half marathon. My husband joined SP with me this time, so I have support from him, but I'd also love some spark friends on here too! I had some friends when I joined in 2011, but they seem to all be gone. Melody, I'd be happy to buddy up with you.

My name is melody and I have battled the weight thing my entire life. I want to lose 30-35 lbs by May for many reasons, but I am mainly motivated by a reunion. I really need an accountability partner to check in with every week on Friday, because that will be my weigh in day. Any takers?

Hi my name is Lisa. I am 48, soon to be 49. I have twin 16 year olds and a 20 year old in college. I have gained weight over the last 5-6 years and had my thyroid tested 2 years ago and now am on Armor. Not sure if the weight gain is caused by my thyroid issues, age or just me being less active and not eating healthy. I really want to take some major weight off by spring. For Mothers Day I always ask for a family picture and this year I want to be thin! I hope you can all help me!

I really don't like exercising either, but someone got me a mini fitness trampoline for Christmas, and I bounce on it all of the time while watching tv. It really gets your heart rate going, and it doesn't require that you get dressed, be seen or have special shoes. Maybe you would like it, too. I have also seen there are workout dvd's for mini trampolines, but I haven't tried any. Right now I am content with just bouncing around.

I'm excited to be on a team of persons with similar goals and issues.
I gained almost 40 pounds after the death of my mother. Although my hubby and father have no concerns or complaints, my doctor expressed concern. So, I have decided to accept counseling services through my job's Employee Assistance Program. My first session is 1/13. That is a big step for me.
In addition, I am making myself accountable for not just what I'm eating but why I'm eating.
I have been connected to a gym for about 3 years now, but I have slowed in my attendance. So, I'm kicking that back into gear.
I'm not creating any unrealistic goals for myself as failure will just make me sad. So, I'm taking one day at a time...one moment at a time to make better choices. i.e. choosing grilled vs. fried...giving up Starbucks soy white mocha (I swear there is some addicting additive in them!)...going to the gym 3 times a week...
I look forward to the insight that may be provided in this team. Thanks in advance to each of you who will provide the encouragement I need, whether it is done directly or indirectly. I can only hope I will do the same.
Have a blessed day!!!
Love & Ladybugs to you!

Hi I just hit fabulous 40 but I also hit my highest weight ever! I knew I had gained but I didn't realize it was this much!!!
I'm not gonna get depressed about it (if I keep saying it, it will eventually become true) I'm just gonna do all I can to lose 45 pounds before the end of the year. I know I can do it.
A friend of mine told me about this site so here I am. I love food (part of my problem) and I don't always like to exercise. I need a good kick in the pants as I don't want to get diabetes nor do I want to be the huffing and puffing mom on the playground with my son.
Trying to become a better, healthier me!

I am 48 years old and have been struggling for about 10 years with weight, and in the last year have gained over 10 lbs, I believe mostly from depression. I really struggle! I sell Scentsy and Velata so I do a lot of sitting and not a lot of movement. I have made it a goal I am going to walk 20 minutes most every day to at least get some movement in my body. I need to lose at least 25 lbs to be in a healthy weight for my body type. Right now I am following the Shred Revolutionary diet - it says I can lose 4 inches and 2 sizes in 6 weeks - I just want to lose 2 sizes period!

Brrrrr Baby it's cold outside but I am here and have been on everyday since the 1st, just slow on introducing myself. I am Diem, wife, mother, business woman, yadah yaddah. I have three wonderful daughters from 13 to 22yrs. My oldest has flown the coup to live on the exact opposite coast, (wahhhhh) I had an awesome beginning to the year last year and had brought my weight down to a wonderful goal, then depression hit when I knew my oldest was leaving to become the wonderful adult she is. I had a close relationship with Diet Pepsi (have given it up now). I have a love/hate relationship with running and have set my goals high for the new year as far as racing, but I am determined. I am an all or nothing kind of gal and tend to drop into "failure" mood if I can't achieve my great goals. So insetting weekly, monthly and yearly goals I hope to stop the circle and simply keep rising to the top. Hoping to meet others who are trying as well.

Hi everyone...I decided to come back to Sparkpeople after a LONG time away from it because I really feel the need for the tools and supportive people.
I'm 46 and a couple years ago had a hysterectomy. Ever since I've had a lot of trouble controlling my weight and have gained 20+ lbs. Even after recovering from surgery and doing some tough workout programs like P90X and Body Earned, I was just managing to maintain even with 90 mins of exercise a day and being careful about what I ate...needless to say...I got fed up and tired out and just quit it all. This was not at all like me as I'd been pretty active all of my life (my profile pic is me running a half marathon, and 3 years ago I hiked the West Highland Way)...but since last summer my mojo was gone...completely and utterly gone. I made an attempt to get back into hiking with my husband in the spring, but his work schedule changed, our daughter's competitive dance season began, and coupled with the lack of motivation, it went by the wayside pretty quickly.
So I'm here, hoping that watching some posts from other people my age struggling to lose some weight will help motivate me to get and keep on track. I also bought a fitbit to help track steps during the day and do quick entries on the run for food tracking. I don't know how much I'll track on here this time round seeing as I have both tools, but for at least the first few weeks I probably will track on both.

I'll be 45 in July and my goal is to lose 45 pounds! Joined Spark years ago but haven't been actively using it in a very long time! I'm taking a new approach to losing weight that I've never taken before. I've always focused on the physical but have never incorporated the whole mind, body and spirit aspect. Maybe that's key? We'll see :)

I am 47 and have been struggling with my weight since an accident 15 years ago. I have reached my goal twice only to celebrate my way back to 200 lbs. I am new to SparkPeople and hope it will be a good motivator. Like you I am trying to avoid convenience foods and add exercise. I have been good about parking at the end of the parking lot to get extra steps and I bought a pedometer to keep me accountable. Now I just Ned to stay away from the fast food window and the bakery!!!

I am 43 and have struggled with being 30 - 50 pounds overweight for about 18 years... I've managed to shed 40 and gain 20 over the past couple years, leaving me with 30 to lose at this point. I joined Curves (again) yesterday to get my 3x a week workout in and came across this site while looking for a 40 something support group. I'm going to start taking the stairs vs the elevator when practical as well as work to eliminate the GMO infused "convenience" foods I consume. I am also going to try to convince my 14 year old to choose healthier choices despite the desire to load up on yummy (unhealthy) crap.

46 years old Currently walking for exercise but would love to graduate to trail running. Weight loss of course is difficult at this stage of "the game" but that's ok.... Never give up is my motto. Love to make connections and be inspired. Hello all :)

Hello, I am 42 years old and currently weigh 191.2lbs with height of 5'7. My goal is to lose 40 pounds and keep it off. I know that being a part of a supportive group is one key element to helping me lose weight and stay motivated enough to keep it off. Also, I know that being heavy is not healthy as I grow older. So, I am stepping outside of my "comfort zone" and seeking supportive and enthusiastic people to help encourage me along the way. And of course, I will be supportive as well. So, I am super excited because I have taken the first step on this life long journey.

Hi! I have been on the weight loss roller coaster for so long I can't even remember when it started! I am determined to actually make it TO my goal and MAINTAIN that goal weight this time! I am currently 157 - which, on my 5'1" frame is not so appealing and, like I read on someone else's entry, I need to lose 25 pounds just to feel comfortable in my skin again. I am also a type -1 diabetic, which seriously complicates things. I'm just tired of not feeling like myself and I need to make the changes permanent. Looking forward to being a loser with all of you!!
So, in September I had a most incredible turn of events. My local credit union selected my family to compete in a Financial and Health fitness challenge. Man, we have been so successful on the financial piece and I have been plugging away at eating healthy and changing my mindset about weight loss. But I haven't put the intensity into the weight loss that I need to. So here I am. Like a lot of you, I have yo-yo'ed up and down during my late 30's and now my early 40's. But 2014 is the year, I get rid of 40 pounds and I don't find them again!
I am one-fourth of an awesome family and we are completely changing our lives as part of an 8 month financial and physical fitness challenge! Learn more about me and family at www.savingsrace.com You can vote for us, too!

Hi I'm Tammie, a 43 year old southern belle trying to get more involved and stay motivated in this new year. I am 5'2 and 155 #. I need to lose at least 25 pounds just to feel comfortable in my own body. I hope to encourage and be encouraged by others with the same goals and struggles with the over 40 bulge!
Hi, I'm Chris. I joined SP in early 2011 and loved it, but life got in the way and I stopped making time for it. I am ready to come back and get my health under control. I am 44 years old. I will be having shoulder surgery in 3 weeks. I will be home from work for 6 weeks and will be unable to drive, so I will no longer have the excuse that I don't have enough time! I hope this will be the perfect time to get my nutrition back on track.

Hello I'm Shantel and am 41 years old. I have been a member of Spark since 2009 and have been going in circles with the weight loss thing since then. I have decided to declare 2014 the year I finally reach my goal weight. I have been pretty sedentary since I started working from home a few months back and have managed to gain about 20 pounds on top of the weight I've been trying to lose for the past 4 years.
I wish everyone success on their journey

Hi! I'm Amy! While I'm very happy with who I am, I realize that to stay around for a long time I have to make some changes in my lifestyle. I was devastated when I lost my mother (at 65) but was also angry with her for not taking better care of herself. I took a long look in the metaphorical mirror and realized that I'm heading down the same path. I am about 50lbs over weight, a smoker and live a pretty sedentary life. My kids are heading off to college soon and I look forward (in 6 or 7 years) to having grand kids but I want to make sure I can keep up with them and live long enough to see my great grandkids. I aim do do a comlete lifestyle overhaul! Hopefully I can stay on track with some group support!

My name is Naureen I am 43 and have about 30# to lose. I managed to lose 15# about two years ago, but broke my shoulder and had other injuries and gained it all back. I really need to cut down on snacking and increase my activity. I am a martial artist, but haven't been to class in a few weeks due to winter break. I also sing barbershop. I found out I am anemic, but hopefully that problem will be solved soon. My main problem is motivation. I have been reading the articles on this site and that has helped.

Hi. My name is Dana. I am 41 years old and have about 40 lbs to lose. I'm going to start with a goal of 25 lbs. I work full time and have a 30 min commute. I am married and have a 14 year old step son and an almost 6 year old daughter. I have 2 different auto immune conditions that leave me tired and sick feeling a fair amount of the time...I am trying to stay on top of them and not to let that be an excuse for inactivity or poor eating. I've been on Sparkpeople for a while (just moved over from the 30 something group lol) and am starting the new year with new drive to stick with it.

Hi! I'm Daphne, 42 for a few more months. I am wanting to change my life and not just a diet. I stopped soda's back in July and drink water like it is the best thing in the world now. I am going to eat only real food and not anything processed. I have 4 children, wonderful husband and a spoiled dog. I want to lose a total of 26 pounds but more important get my waist down to a healthy size and feel good and energized. I have a desk job and drive an hour each way to work so time is a challenge on working out but I will do it.
