If you ever get frustrated and at that stand still point, I suggest listening to these inspirational songs. 1st is Mercy Me - So Long Self; 2nd is Mercy Me - Move; 3rd is Mercy Me - Beautiful. Mercy Me and Steven Curtis Chapman are the only 2 Christian groups that I listen to, sorry. I tend to listen to alternative to punk to heavy metal music and know more songs in those areas.

My degree, I hope can complete either in Austin, Texas; Rochester, New York or in Washington, D.C.. My degree is Deaf Education and Lingustics. I want to work for a Deaf elementary school or something with Deaf children. Knowing my luck, I'll be stuck teaching ASL classes either in a High School or College setting. I'll be certified to teach after this semester is finished and can work in Special Ed Dept at my local schools. I want to continue my education, for if I stop now, I'll never finish.

I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers. I wish you the best in life and in weight loss. You can do it Chica! emoticon emoticon emoticon

I challenge myself...

To lose 2 pounds a week.

To sleep a full 8 hrs uninterrupted each night.

To go easy this holiday season and eat within my calorie range. I will have treats in moderation only.

To learn something new everyday.

To make time for myself.

To read a book that I want to.

To pay it forward to someone special in my life.

To strength my bond with God and tithe regularly.

Yes even a little change does help. I am a thinker and I just kept thinking about it all the time, but I realize that God has a plan. I now focus on the little things in life and relationships. As for weight I always want to rush things but I realize it took awhile to gain it so it will take awhile to get it off. A little change everyday will add up in the end. Good luck with your degree, I love teaching. I'm taking a break to try to work. Here it is very hard to find an elementary teaching position. There are about 400-500 applicants for each position. Wish you the best as well.

Welcome Stephanie.

I'm glad that you have decided to make a plan and start working toward your goals. I currently am studying to become a teacher. I have to be flexible, as my degree is not offered at many colleges and universities here in Tx. I understand about life and struggles that people face. I am just now starting life after loss. It may never be easy, but even a little bit of change helps in the long run. I wish you the best.

I am Stephanie and I'm 30 yrs old. I am a single mom of a 9 yr old. I stay busy working and it is hard for me to find time to work out. I graduated and have my degree for teaching but have only gotten a substitute position right now. I am now ready to find time for me if you read my page.. you will see. I was always skinny but never thought that, until now that I look back. I lost over 30 lbs before but since 2011 I have gained back 26 of that. I lost my boyfriend at the time and everything else just went in a downward spiral. I'm happy now and in another relationship. I want to be healthy for my son and myself. I plan to get into my old jeans.. and I have every size from 20 to 5. I never tell anyone what I weigh, but in order to be Real.. and make a change I will tell you all. I'm currently at 218 and I want to be 115 in 1 yr. I love working out I just need to be consistent and focus on eating healthy. I'm a fast food person and I love cokes. Those are the two things I'm trying to cut out. I want to be a Zumba instructor so my goal is that and to gradually start walking and jogging until I can run a 5k. Good luck to you all and I hope we can all be successful together.
