Starting to get healthy for the first time in 18 years....long overdue! I am 39, mommy to a 16 yo, 7 yo, and 3 yo.

What is motivating me is because I am getting winded climbing stairs, I had a hip replacement 6 yrs ago and my doctor says that I am now getting arthritis in my knees and degenerative disc disease in my back. My 16 yr old son was just at the doctors and he is showing signs of becoming insulin resistant. So what a better idea then to get my dh and all 3 kids involved to get healthier!

I have set long term goal of losing 80+ lbs this year. (I can't wait to see the scale go below the 200lb mark because it hasn't been below that since I got pregnant with my first child almost 18 yrs ago. My short term goals are to lose 10% of my body weight every 3 months.

I have a doctors appt to get meds to stop smoking Jan 8th. I have bought a treadmill, I moved everything out of the dining room and make it my family's work out area. I plan on using mostly work out videos to lose weight. I do Walk away the Pounds and I did Turbo Jam in the past with great results before I quit. I am also looking for a buddy to help me keep on track. I figure the more support the better!

It took more than a day to put it on. It will take more than a day to take it off. Move.

Do something today that your future self will thank you for.

Goal #2 by June 15th lose 10% of my body weight.
