Welcome and I understand being frustrated. I reached almost 400 pounds and found that I have had problems with my thyroid (hypothyroidism) and I am a Diabetic. I just do what I need too taking things one step at a time. You are in the right place for support just holler if you need too..

At the beginning of the year I had all sorts of plans to lose weight ( and had started well before the beginning of the year and did fairly well for awhile. I lost 30lbs and was hoping to have 50lbs down by my Bday the end of this past April. I ended up getting sick repetitively and ended up having my Adenoid removed which has helped a little and environmental changes which has helped as well. Its not the first time I have had bouts of illness I had some people try to say it was because I was trying to loose weight why I got sick (sorry a little defensive there). During this time I had my feet begin to swell and went to the doctor and was diagnosed with hypothyroidism, which is now in the okay range according to the dr. I still not sure about that, because when I first started taking the medicine by feet and ankle swelling all but went away, yet after 3 months my feet and ankles are swelling again with no change in diet. At this point I have gained all the weight I lost back and a couple more pounds ... my scale gives me the E now occasionally, which I swear is a scales way of giving you the bird. I do however now know my scales limit is 410, which I really did not need to know. I know some of the weight is water weight, which I want rid of in the worst way.
Anyway, I am a little frustrated with the calorie tracker. I know personally I do not eat the low end of the calories suggested by this site( of course I do not exercise enough to burn 1330 calories a week either so *lol*) . The only way for me to do so would be to eat Fast Food at least once a day. ( I do not eat fries and rarely drink a soda or milkshake, so its usually just one of those 700 cal burgers.) The last time I was loosing weight I had my calories right around 1600-1800 eating really clean towards the low carb lean protein low salt side and more whole foods to loose weight and exercise and some weeks at that level I did not have a loss. I ate until I was comfortably full though, because I love veggies that is not an issue. It is more a mater of changing my plate ratio to a larger portion of veg and smaller ratio of carb, which drops my calorie intake dramatically.
I do not drink soda often (only when I am sick with a "coughing fit" cough.. then I sip on one with TONS of ice to reduce the coughing). I drink a good bit of water usually anywhere from 3 to 5 24oz glasses of water. My drink weakness would be a Cafe Mocha (2% milk no whip no drizzle with the occasional extra espresso shot ... I work next to a coffee shop DOLP) which is like 300 cal, but that is changing with in the next few months so less temptation. I love chocolate, but dark chocolate which I have found that I can get that fix in low calories ( Specialty Dark Cocoa powder is my FRIEND).
I have 2 goals right now. One would be to get into my High school jeans which happen to be sitting in a Tub at the top of my closet ( I was around 295 then) and to get to 199, just because it would be under 200lbs hehe. I would be very happy with myself to get to 295, because I am 5ft 9 and have always carried my weight well so people did not know I was so heavy. Yet 199 would be closer to a healthy weight for my height and I think I would look very thin at that weight and would not want to be much less then that.
