I have been there so many times so I know exactly where you are coming from. emoticon But you are so right, one step at a time, one change at a time no matter how small so that it becomes a habit, a permanent change is what wins. We can do this and we have to support each other. emoticon emoticon

Well its monday and it is a new day. I understand where you have been I myself being their for the most part. There is a healthy family team challenge that you might want to look at as well. Take things one step at a time and understand we make mistakes we just need to find out what caused the mistake to try to correct it. One of my biggest things that I do is not treat the food issue as an addiction like I should. Feel free to add my as a friend on the spark pages and message me anytime..

So I have said it a 100 times...."I will start my diet on Monday!" Well tomorrow is the LAST Monday I am going to say that. I have been on countless diets, succeeded at ALL of them only to have them end in failure. I have been telling that story for what seems like an eternity. I am a 34 year old mother of 4, ages 2, 4, 5 & 6. I am also a former smoker (quit date of October 6, 2003) I have been slowly packing on the pounds for a long time...and I am so ready to be rid of them. What I lack is MOTIVATION. I usually start real strong and am a "go-getter" and then for one reason or another I get side tracked and then it seems like a downward spiral from there. I NEED to do something about my weight and my lifestyle NOW. One of my daughters (my 5 year old) is already overweight and I do not want her to go down that road. It is my fault. I take full responsibility for her being overweight and making bad food choices...afterall, she learned from watching her mama. Well no more. I am not exactly sure how, but my family is going to turn around our lifestyle. We are going to take it one step at a time and hopefully overcome this....TOGETHER!! I am going to look to all of you in this community as my supporters. I need to have a good team backing me up and what better a team than a bunch of strangers all working toward the same goal!?!?!?!? Thank you Spark People....and away we go!!!
