Welcome!! It is very daunting realizing just how much weight we have to lose. I've been a member now for 5 weeks and I've lost 13lbs, but when your 150 lbs overweight, no one notices the small milestones. That is why we have each other here-to encourage, support, and congratulate each other for even the small milestones. Just one "You can do it" can mean the difference of eating a cupcake or a carrot stick

I'm excited to start really becoming a member of this online support group. In the past, on other types of message boards, I have really enjoyed and benefited from both asking for help and helping to support others.
This team really needs strong support from each other because we're young AND seriously overweight. We're really at a crossroads where one chosen path may lead to health problems, pain, low self esteem and even, while the other leads to self confidence, less chronic pain, less risk of heart disease and diabetes to name a few. But this path is also a difficult one. It seems daunting, at least to me, to lose over 100 lbs.
I hope we can all support each other and shed hundreds or thousands of pounds together. Only we can truly understand each other in this unique group, which thankfully also means we can help each other. I look forward to making some new connections here. :)
