Hello and welcome to the team, It is funny how deaths either have a posative or negative affect on how we live our lives. When my grandparents died in Jan & Feb of 2011 it was the push I needed to get me headed in the right direction again. Granted it has been a year and overall I have not lost any weight I have gained a lot of confidence. I got into wellness coaching and made some goals. Fell flat on my face due to illnesses and injuries, but just kept getting back up and pushing forward. One of my goals for the next 10 years was to go back to school. that was made in July 2011. I officially started back in August of 2012. And although it is tough to work full time and go to school so far I am liking it. You can make the most of everything if you just look at it with a positive attitude. You can do this just keep trying!
The road to success is not straight. There is a curve called Failure, a loop called Confusion, speed bumps called Friends, red lights called Enemies, caution lights called Family. You will have flats called Jobs. But, if you have a spare called Determination, an engine called Perseverance, insurance called Faith, a driver called Jesus, you will make it to a place called Success.
Hi everyone. I am finally getting around to using the message boards. I've been back to work outs and eating healthy for almost 6 weeks now. I am 34 years old. No children. Right now I have about 120 lbs total to lose. So far, I've lost 10.
My main type of exercise is the Jillian Michaels Winning by Losing. I did this program several years ago and I went from 250 to 200lbs. I started to get a little off track with the holidays and vacations, but then in January 2011 my dad died. This sent me into a tailspin. I stopped trying because it was hard enough to get through the day let alone think about what to eat. I went from 200 lbs to 270 (the highest I have ever been) in about a year. On the 1 year anniversary of his death, I decided it was time to start living for me again and at the 1 1/2 year anniversary, I decided it was time to start taking care of myself. I feel great now that I'm back to exercising, although I still hate to sweat. I force myself to do it everyday, but it's what I have to do.
Enough about me. How do you guys get those cool weight loss tracker things on the bottom of your posts?
Just because I'm big doesn't mean I have to dress badly.
