You can definitely do this just focus on what you can do today and make small goals. The smaller goals are the ones that are going to make or break the larger ones so if you say I am going to lose 100 pounds you may or may not. But if you say I am going to lose 10 pounds by november 1st ... you are going to be more apt to work toward your goal which is very attainable. Also remember slow and steady wins the race.
