Hi, My name is Dawn and I am going to be 40 in about half a year. My two youngest children (of the 3 that I have) are 12 and 13. They are one of the many reasons I am doing this. I want to be able to run & play with them. I want them to have a mom they can be proud of who can run with them, play sports with them & who will live long enough to see them grow into wonderful, well-balanced, decent human beings. Most of my weight has been with me since I was in my 20's. I did manage to lose 70 lbs once but I gained it all back plus some. I started trying to lose weight again a couple of months ago when we moved into our new apartment. Every store I need is at least a 15-20 minute walk so what better time to start losing again right? I did not check my weight so I am guesstimating that it was about 360. I still haven't weighed myself so I am guesstimating I am now around 350. I plan to get this checked asap or to buy a scale that goes high enough for me. So I am guessing when I say I have around 170-180 lbs to lose. As soon as I know the correct numbers I will do an update. It is my wish to get to my goal weight and then to help motivate someone else who needs to lose as much as I did or more.
