Hello and welcome to the team, you can do it, just take it slow and steady and you will get it done. one day at a time.

*** Sharleen *** Motivational captain 30 something challenge

The road to success is not straight. There is a curve called Failure, a loop called Confusion, speed bumps called Friends, red lights called Enemies, caution lights called Family. You will have flats called Jobs. But, if you have a spare called Determination, an engine called Perseverance, insurance called Faith, a driver called Jesus, you will make it to a place called Success.

My name is Jenn and I am (obviously) new here! My story is simple: I've been overweight for as long as I can remember. I have dieted on and off for many years, and usually have great success at losing weight. But the moment I stop exercising or eating well, the weight creeps back again. I am currently at the heaviest I have ever been (285) and I am sick to think that I am so close to 300 pounds. I want to fit into my clothes again, I want to feel better about myself, I want to be able to play with my son! I work, I go to school, and I am a single my time is valuable to me. I don't want to sit through hours and hours worth of meetings every week, but I know I need the support to stay focused! That's why I'm here!!!

Hello, my name is Carol. I am 37 years old and just joined Spark People today. I weighed in at the Dr.'s office the other day at 328 lbs. I know I need to lose weight. I have been heavy all my life. I am starting this journey for 2 reasons. First, my husband is getting ready to have gastric bypass and when he reaches his goal weight, I do not want to be the person who keeps us from doing what we always dream of. Second reason is I want to have children. At this weight it would be very difficult.
