I also work on computers all day. I have 6 kids to chase around though! I was always tired as well. Make sure you get your thyroid checked. Mine was at 2.7...I did a lot of research and took a supplement to get my metabolism in gear. Now, I have a whole lot more energy than I used to and I don't even take the supplement anymore.
Best of wishes on your journey!

I'm too blessed to be stressed and too anointed to be disappointed.
Hi and welcome!
Good luck on your journey. I know you can do it.
I had a similar background (work in computers), busy parent (13 and 5 year old now), and used to be tired all the time. Once I lost the weight, my energy levels totally changed and I had energy to spare. It also helped with my sleep apnea (it got rid of it) and which also made a world of difference. At first, the changes weren't obvious but as time went by I could totally see the difference.
You can do this too. You'll be at your goal weight before you know it it!

Hello. I guess I am supposed to Introduce myself here. My name is John and I am 39 years old and, 100 lbs overweight. I work at a desk job staring at a computer all day and the only exercise I get is chasing my kids around the house (Ages 17, 3, and 1 month). I find that I am always tired and my friends say that if I lost some weight I wouldn't be so tired all the time. Also, I want to try and get in shape for my 10th wedding anniversary (Nov 2011). Hmm, what else to say? I guess that's all for now. I hope to make some new friends and find the encouragement to stay on track and finally take off the weight (been trying for over 5 years no with no luck). Wish me luck!
