Take this first week to familiarize yourself with the tools here. Once you get used to using them, it becomes easier to use them even when you are busy. Personally, I spent my first week learning to use the tools, and just tracking everything I was already eating and doing for exercise. It gave me a baseline to work from. It also gave me a chance to really decide what my goals were, and how to get there.

This site can only provide the support and the tools to reach these goals. You need to put the hard work in. Personally, I end up kicking my own butt every day. Feel free to check out my blogs to see how I kick my butt out the door to get my fitness in. I can tell you, once I am finished with my exercise for the day, I feel great. No more I should do this and I should do that. Instead, I feel accomplished, and able to relax and enjoy the rest of my day.

Hi everyone, I'm Marissa and a runner. I've been on here before years ago and liked the team spirit so here I am again. I am pretty good at staying in shape and healthy. I started gaining a little weight at a time when I started school 2 years ago (full time school/ full time work = less time to work out). I quit my job in May to give myself a little extra time to focus on school alone and now I'm not walking nearly as much when I was up and walking throughout the day at work. I've added walking 4 miles at least 3 days a week to try to get back to where I would like to be. I am a Kinesiology major so I sorta feel it's a requirement for me to look and be in great shape. I also would love to help anyone that may have questions as health and nutrition are sort of a passion for me. Oh, I also am a running addict, I just finished my 13th half marathon for 2013! I hope to get to know some of you and encourage others as much as I am.
