Good job, Dana, and welcome! Keep up the good work! Getting here is an awesome beginning. I have found a new beginning myself and am really happy about it too. Kids take a lot of time for sure :) One of the things that has helped me is just buying more fresh produce and always having extra fruit so that if I need/want to eat something that I turn to that or string cheese first before any other carbs, sweets or other things that were part of my habits. Definitely be sure you don't feel like you're depriving yourself to get that weight off. I have gone up and down in weight in my life despite having been an athlete in high school and discovering running near the end of college. It's for life this time! Good luck!!

I am new to this site and group. I am 31 years old with 3 girls (1, 2 & 4) all by c-section. It is crazy that I was always at my thinnest about a week after giving birth to each of them, but always managed to gain about 15 lbs. throughout the year afterwards. So, obviously my food choices while not pregnant are much worse than while pregnant. I used to run about 50 miles/week (4 time state champion in h.s. - 5:01 mile - and college competitor but dealt with injuries). Now, I literally cannot run around the block without feeling like i have to take a break. :( I am about 20 pounds from my goal but need some motivation/challenge to eat healthier and get moving. I'm hoping to work with all of you to achieve this goal (it will be the first "goal for myself" that I've had since before having kids, so I pumped about that). :) Anyway, I'm excited about getting to know all of you along the way!
