Don't feel too hopeless, you have found a great place to get help! This is just my own experience, but small changes can make a big difference and for me that was changing what I drink every day. I have always drank soda, mochas, Monster java, and coffee (hardly any water). Over the past month I have transitioned to mostly water, 1 to 3 cups of regular coffee, and a diet soda (which I used to hate!) if I just have to have a soda. I started small with drinking water at work, then having water with meals. Even though I go over my calorie limits quite often I've still be losing weight and I'm absolutely sure what I was drinking was a big culprit in my weight gain-I was also at my heaviest until this month.

Chin up, you can do this!!

Take this first week to familiarize yourself with the tools here. Once you get used to using them, it becomes easier to use them even when you are busy. Personally, I spent my first week learning to use the tools, and just tracking everything I was already eating and doing for exercise. It gave me a baseline to work from. It also gave me a chance to really decide what my goals were, and how to get there.

This site can only provide the support and the tools to reach these goals. You need to put the hard work in. Personally, I end up kicking my own butt every day. Feel free to check out my blogs to see how I kick my butt out the door to get my fitness in. I can tell you, once I am finished with my exercise for the day, I feel great. No more I should do this and I should do that. Instead, I feel accomplished, and able to relax and enjoy the rest of my day.

I am 35 years old, and at 5'2" I weigh 180lb. It's the most I've ever weighed without being 8-9 months pregnant. I eat when I know I'm not hungry. I just have to have the sugar. I eat until every inch of my stomach is about to burst and only then am I happy. For a moment. Then I get mad at myself and vow to never do it again. But I do. Always. emoticon I simply have no self control.
