Not sure how much fiber you're getting, but high fiber foods help keep me full so I avoid overeating, keep my calories low, and don't feel like I'm starving to death. Also, make sure your protein is in the advisable range. I've found when my protein levels are low for the day, I feel hungrier.
I've found that I'm able to keep my calories in range without feeling hungry by keeping a pretty strict schedule that keeps my meals at the same times every day and gives me the option for a snack in between breakfast and lunch and a snack in between lunch and dinner. I try to keep a good supply of veggies to munch, as well as high fiber fruits (those with edible skin like apples and pears). I also keep Luna bars on hand for days when I am feeling particularly hungry. They're kind of high calorie for a snack (170 - 190 calories) but have a good amount of protein to help me feel full and energetic. Plus the Luna bars fulfill my chocolate cravings without making me feel like crap for overindulging.
Hope you find something that works to help you feel less hungry so you can get within your target calorie range.
I'm struggling with what feels like a constant legitimate hunger. Not stomach growling hunger but like a sugar-low hunger.
Are you eating a lot of carbs? I'm finding even with me eating whole grain, fiber type carbs and trying to avoid sugar and flour, but still eating some, I still feel hungry about 2 hours after eating and obsessive about food until I can eat again.
I got some hoodia and some full bars to try and help. I found when I did jenny craig, veggies helped. get yourself a pile of low cal green veggies, they help. And drink all the fluid you can.
But personally, I'm butting in here because I'd love to get everyone elses advice on fighting hunger. I ate over 2000 calories yesterday and still could have knawed off my hand by the end of the day...and was really cranky by 5pm.
Hello Everybody! It's my second day tracking my food and fitness! Yesterday I realized why I don't lose weight: I'm eating more than I'm supposed to! But today, when I cut down my servings... well... let's just say I'm not happy! I just had my lunch two hours agoo and I'm getting really hungry! What shall I do?
