You can do this! We all have events that take us a bit off track. Enjoy the event, and then get right back into it. Routine and planning are key. I had a similar situation when I first started. I learned pretty quickly that I could not count on my husband to keep me on track. Logging on to spark every day, tracking my food, and setting goals for my monthly fitness minutes helped keep me going. Don't give up or feel discouraged from you weekend of fun. Just know that it is a lifestyle change. This isn't temporary. You will have these events forever. As long as you build fitness into your life and have a general healthy lifestyle, you can handle these bumps with ease!
And let's hope that's all it is. I was doing fairly well. I was going to workout at least 5 days a week and eating pretty well. I lost about 3 pounds in about 2 weeks and I was noticing some inches gone around my waist. But this past weekend, a couple of our best friends got married. My daughter was the flower girl, so that meant that we were part of all the wedding festivities all weekend, including the rehearsal dinner and such. The food they had all weekend was amazing, and there was a lot of drinking. We were going going going all weekend, which left me utterly too exhausted to work out when we got home. I actually went to bed at 6:30 on Tuesday night after work and I never do that. I think I'm completely back on track today. I didn't go work out this morning, but I plan to tonight. I'm writing this so that this team can maybe help me hold myself accountable. While my husband commends me and compliments me on the weight that I have lost, he's not working out with me. He does help me eat right, but I tend to work out the best if I have a buddy to motivate me. So please, I need all the motivation and encouragement I can get.
